Pakistan cricket Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif have been sentenced to fix the parts of the test match in a British court on Tuesday.
A jury at Southwark Crown Court in London found former captain Butt guilty to two counts of conspiracy to cheat and conspiracy to accept corrupt payments as part of a betting scam.
Asif was convicted of one count of conspiracy to deceive. Judge Jeremy Cooke addressed the jury, who had spent a total of 16 hours to discuss their verdicts, to retire again to continue their efforts to achieve at least a 10.2 majority decision in the second charge against Asif.
Butt risks seven years in prison when the pair will be sentenced later this week. The lesser charge of conspiracy to defraud punishable by a possible two years.
