Gilad Shalit Comes Home

Tuesday 18 October 2011 ·

Gilad Shalit has happened to his home in Mitzpe Hila family Tuesday afternoon after 1941 days in captivity of the terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza.

A gaunt and pale Shalit, was repatriated to Israel overwhelmed by the crowds and attention. Clearly it will take time to recover from its sun, deprived of isolation.

After being met with Prime Minister of Israel was a hug from his father, Noam, waiting for the media wanted to see.

Shalit has not said much about his treatment at the hands of the Palestinian Hamas Millitant. Apparently he told his father that he had multiple shrapnel wounds in the light. It was not clear whether these results from 2006 the attack on the border when he was abducted and two companions were killed.

Friends and villagers came to welcome home a young man, but psychiatrists are ready when the excitement has settled, 25, Gilad needs time to adjust back to normal life.

Gilad Shalit's father Noam said:

"Today we can say that we have experienced a rebirth of the Sun, he said that initially he was treated roughly, but then things have improved."

Shalit Hamas released from prison Tuesday morning and brought to Israel in Tel Nof Air Force Base, in central Israel shortly after. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak Shalit greeted on his arrival at the air base, with the IDF medical team.

"Hey, Gilad. Welcome back to Israel," Netanyahu said. "It 'so nice to have at home." Shalit, an IDF uniform changed before flying by helicopter from the border with Gaza, has thanked the Prime Minister, and then embraced him. Shortly after, he saw his family.

An interview with Egyptian Nile TV station Shalit said he knows his release from the story a week ago, and said he had left his family and friends of his imprisonment.

Life at home means the privacy and confidentiality. When he returned, praised Prime Minister Netanyahu Shalit with a quote from an old well-known song: it's so good to have you home. To his parents, he said, I went back home boy. This tension between the return of the public (the song refers to the house of a traveler) and the return of the child to his parents was not a small part of the discussion of "pay" for the return of Shalit . The second part, the national commitment to do everything possible to return home the prisoners, played a major role in public pressure for the release of Shalit, because it is one of the places of compulsory military service.

Still, a young, homecomer: his release Shalit has told the Egyptian press: "I am happy .. release of Palestinian prisoners, I hope that does not add up to fight Israel, I hope that this agreement will help promote peace"
